To See A Landscape

A curated research project on Minimal Art and Land Art. Created in the System Design class at the HGB Leipzig.

The line “To see a landscape as it is when I am not there” from a poem by Emily Dickinson is meant to serve as the title for this collection. It is about the tension between reality and our perception of what we think is real. Through simple combinations and displacements of natural raw materials and man-made objects, situations are installed that allow us to alter our view on what is surrounding us.

The exposed spine and the tactile white-on-white screen print convey the concept of using raw materials and making subtle artistic choices through the book’s form itself.
